4/28/2011 Thanks for making MUSIC FOR MS a success!
Danette worked very hard pulling everything together for this, and it was great success! Thanks to everyone who participated and donated their time, energy, and funds to this event.
Our inspiring friend Matt Giardano got the evening going with a drum circle that brought everyone to their feet and really got the blood pumping. Thanks Matt for bringing your Drum Echoes to this event: http://drumechoes.org/
The entire evening was filled with the best elementary and middle-school aged entertainers around. The Denver Kicker's own Schuhplattlers got up and performed traditional Bavarian folk dances - complete with Lederhosen, and big fuzzy socks. They were completely adorable.

The 30+ kids comprising the Mustang Singers and directed by Mr. Phillips sang beautifully, and with pizazz and style!
Mitchell Elementary's Spencer White got up and performed 2 songs on acoustic guitar flawlessly. One of them, an award-winning tune he composed himself.
The Gunslingers threw on their electric basses and guitars, grabbed drum sticks and rocked Wild Thing and Foxy Lady, among others. Though their instruments are almost as big as they are, they had not trouble laying it down.
Danette's speech about her personal experiences with her mom's MS was heartfelt and inspiring.
It was a great evening and an important one. Don't forget to join the Slow Pokes for the MS Walk coming up on May 7th!
