We've made the journey back, and we had an incredible time at Desert Rocks! We saw strange lights in the sky, listened to amazing music, swung on trapeze swings, got eaten alive by little desert gnats (well, that was just me) and learned the value of one, two, and trees. (It's ok if it doesn't make sense, we'll fill you in when we see you.) Just as we were about to start playing on Sunday Mandi broke the D string on her fiddle! She soldiered through a couple of tunes, reinventing her playing style on the fly in truly pro-fashion, then a heaven-sent fella appeared with a fiddle for her to borrow. All was right again in the universe! We had so much fun at the SoLLun stage - a completely solar powered joint, complete with gypsy tent furnished with high-hanging hammocks, a trapeze swing, an upright piano, a drum room, sofas, a rocking horse, a beautifully burnished bar, and some quite interesting folk, to boot! A little windy at the start but it shaped up to be beautiful. Ok, with all that said, come down and visit with us this Thursday at Scruffy Murphy's Irish Pub!
