The Gristle Gals had such an eventful December, we are both sad to see it go and looking forward to a well deserved "break." By break, I mean going into the studio and recording our gypsy album!! This album marks the pinnacle of much practice and preparation over the last few months. We played all over Colorado, hit some new venues, continued rocking out the old and also managed to produce a bluegrass demo at the Crucible recording studio. It consists of three songs which are posted on the site. Please check them out. We can finally sumbit our press kit to festivals and start booking the summer.

Did everyone have as much fun as we did this holiday season? We played New Years with Mountain Standard time at the Stage Stop in Rollinsville- that great big red barn in the center of town. The boys were in great form as always- they didn't get the memo about wearing satin dresses though unfortunately. Maybe next year. Our holiday celebration also included a fanatistic xmas eve dinner(Mandi makes the best cheesecake and what the devil was in the garlic bread?) and a xmas show at the Wash Park grille with our newly upgraded sound system. Ashley even partook in some xmas caroling- luckily we got to practice a few tunes ahead of time with Vince Herman at the Brick House. I was particularly impressed with Gretchen jamming on the flute which we really don't get to hear enough of, do we?

Alas, all of this momentum will be channeled into the studio starting thursday night!!! Wish us luck and check in again for updates and pictures from the studio. I'll post again this weekend.
